The basis was layed by American scientists working in Japan after world war II. Its basic is Statistical Process Control and\u00a0the Plan-Do-Check-Act (PDCA) shown below.<\/p>\n<p>After each PDCA step, the status reached has to be set as the new &#8220;standard&#8221;.
