Closing books in a distributed organization is sometimes cumbersome. Particularly remote and non-financial organizations (e.g. sales and manufacturing) sometimes do not execute the needed steps on time. We propose to monitor all organizations, automatically send reminders, and implement a closing dashboard to speed the process up and guarantee compliance.
Typical issues which can be checked:
- Blocked Sales Orders
- Open sales orders
- Blocked deliveries
- Production orders not ready for calculation
- Inconsistencies between SD and FI and in goods movements
These issues often are signs of lateness, which can be monitored by Arumba’s “Organizational Monitor“. If your organization is fit, no such problems occur during closing, because they are solved earlier in the month. If not, you have at least a chance to discover and solve problems during closing without losing time and accuracy.
